Secure Provider Portal

Availity Essentials is TriWest’s secure portal for submitting transactions for TRICARE West Region beneficiaries.

Register now with Availity to access important applications, resources and training information.

Established User

If you already have an Availity Essentials account, you do not need to take further action. You will receive information on when you can access training and other important information for TRICARE West. You will then need to follow these steps to determine your Availity administrator:

        Step 1: Log in to Availity.

        Step 2: Select your name (in the top navigation bar) and click My Account.

        Step 3: Select Organization(s).

Step 4: Select Open My Administrators. If you need assistance, call 1-800-AVAILITY (282-4548).

New User

Are you new to Availity? Resources are available to help you create an account and log in to the secure portal.

How to Login

If your organization does not have an Availity Essentials account, please follow the following steps:

Step 1: Designate an administrator. This person will need the following information to set up the account:

  • Basic information about your practice, including federal tax ID and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Permission from your organization’s legal authority to agree to Availity’s Organization Agreement on behalf of your organization

Step 2: The designated administrator will need to go to Availity.com.

  • Click Register. Select Providers. Once done, follow the steps to complete the registration. If your organization is a billing service, select Billing Services.
  • Once you have successfully registered, Availity will reach out via email with next steps and a temporary password.

Registration assistance is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET (excluding holidays) via Availity Client Services by calling 1-800-AVAILITY (282-4548).

Navigating Availity

Navigate to and select the Essentials Login button on the Availity home page. Log in with your User ID and password.

Once you log in, the dashboard will help you navigate the portal.

  • The Notification Center helps you access messages in your inbox.
  • My Top Applications allows you to access and open applications quickly.
  • News and Announcements helps you find recent updates and announcements.

To access the TriWest Payer Space:

  1. Select Payer Spaces from the ribbon at the top of the page.
  2. Select the TRICARE West Payer Space.

To access the provider directory:

  1. Select the Resources tab while in the TRICARE West Payer Space.
  2. Select Provider Directory Access.

To access the provider directory from the beneficiary portal’s main dashboard:

  1. Select Find a Provider from the ribbon.
  2. Select Looking for a Provider? Start Here.
