TRICARE Referral Approval Waiver Ends June 30

The temporary primary care manager referral waiver, allowing access to specialty care without a referral, expires June 30. Standard referral and authorization requirements apply starting July 1. New specialty care requires an approved referral starting July 1.

If you are currently seeing a TRICARE patient who has a referral waiver in place, you can continue providing that care until September 30. After that, if care continues, you must follow standard referral requirements.
