New to the West Region?

Here are the Top 5 Things to Know

#1 Sign up for the West Region self-service Beneficiary Portal.

#2 Avoid disenrollment. Set up or make payments for TRICARE fees and premiums.

  • Do you pay your TRICARE fees and premiums by bank transfer, credit card or debit card? You still have time to make a payment for 2025!
  • If you have TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Select, TRICARE Young Adult, TRICARE Reserve Select, or TRICARE Retired Reserve, you now have until Feb. 28. If you miss this deadline, you will be disenrolled back to Jan. 1.
  • Visit https://tricare.mil/west to set up your payment today on the beneficiary portal.
  • Remember, if you pay by allotment, you don't need to do anything new.

#3 Follow guidelines for seeking care during the transition period.

  • Have you confirmed your provider is in the new network starting Jan. 1, 2025?

Visit the TRICARE website to learn more if you are:
    • Enrolled in TRICARE Prime – TRICARE has modified the authorization period and point-of-service charges for your care on or after Jan. 1, 2025.
    • A TRICARE Select beneficiary – Make sure that the provider on your pre-authorization is in the TriWest network or you may be responsible for additional out-of-pocket costs.
    • Enrolled in the TRICARE Autism Care Demonstration – TRICARE rules are specific to autism care demonstration requirements.
  • Do you want to confirm your care is still approved? Contact your provider's office for assistance or check for your ongoing authorization on the outgoing contractor's portal.
  • Your valid authorization is valid until the authorization ends or June 30, 2025, whichever comes first. West Region network providers can issue referrals for any new care needed.

#4 Confirm your current primary care manager (TRICARE Prime only).

#5 Stay in the know about your TRICARE benefits and eligibility.
